This course is setup to show the relationship between project management and organizational learning on a fundamental level. Over this seven session course the individual will gain knowledge of how each phase of project management provides an opportunity for both organizational and individual development using some of the basic principles organizational development and motivation developed over the past 50 years. This course will aid the individual in understanding how the action of embedding the OL/OD and Motivational principles into their organizational processes for project management will improve the company at all levels.
Manufacturing is steadily moving to automation, but that does not absolve the organization from developing the talent of the organization.  Machines can execute as defined, but solving problems quickly are outside the boundaries of machines presently.  We need an approach that allows our organization to continuously improve without the disruptions and risks that come with large sweeping changes.  Additionally, those large sweeping types of changes often fail as the organization is not prepared culturally for the transition.  That is where Shewhart / Deming cycle and TQM enters.  With this process and tools, we can steadily and incrementally improve our organization's capability and reduce cost due to quality issues all along the way.
