Benchmarking

Benchmarking provides us with an understanding of state of the art, making it possible to implement significant improvements to an ineffective or inefficient process; we will see improvements to the bottom line. Benchmarking can be applied to the performance of a product as well as the process. Benchmarking consists of Planning, Exploring, Discovering, Evaluating, Accommodating, and Reclaiming. There are ethical components as well focused around intellectual property that apply to our responses from the benchmarking effort.
